Inside the Plasma Pen device oxygen is ionized, which creates the plasma energy discharge, this is a purple colour. This is true plasma, not an electrical discharge that some older / electric devices on the market are still using. The treatment leaves white dots (carbon crusts) not brown or black dots (scabs). The recovery is much faster with this new technology in comparison to electric devices.
True plasma drives through the top epidermal layers and sublimates the cells, which still contains some cytoplasm. It then barely hits the epidermal junction to stimulate collagen growth.
Working in a grid pattern over the treatment area the skin will then go through a natural regeneration process. By stimulating the fibroblasts to produce collagen and elastin the beneficial effect can remain for 2-3 years leaving the client with fresher, younger and smoother looking skin.
